Barks & Bow Ties is an idea I had while living in Charleston three years ago while on a travel contract for work. Since Charleston is a very dog friendly city, I often took Winston with me places as a puppy. He quickly became known around my living complex and the places I frequented as “the dog with the bow ties.” It brought much joy to many to see him showing off his silly personality while displaying his most recent bow tie. After often being stopped in public and Winston receiving many compliments, I had the idea of creating my own brand. Finding new bow ties in pet stores was difficult, and not many patterns were available if a store did carry them. I thought to myself, every dog deserves to receive compliments and be told how ‘regal’ and ‘handsome’ they look, just as Winston was. I decided I was going to bring this idea to life by making my own, and making it my mission for them to be accessible and affordable for every pet. Each one of my collections is carefully curated and designs are hand chosen from individual artists. I hope you and your pet will find as much joy in my products as I do.
